Cookie policy

In short

The WALBIA website sets no advertising, analytics or social media cookies. In the cookie banner you can choose whether to let us use preference, analytics and advertising cookies: today we load nothing for analytics or advertising, and none of it will be switched on without your yes and without telling you here first.

Only if you sign in do we keep in your browser the bare minimum to keep you signed in. It is technical data, needed for the service you ask for, and it is not used to track you.

Cookies and browser storage

Cookies are small files a website leaves on your device. Your browser’s local storage does something similar: it keeps data on your device for the website to use later. This policy covers both.

What we keep in your browser

All of it is WALBIA’s own and strictly necessary:

• Your session (“walvia-web-sesion”, local storage). Only if you sign in. It keeps you signed in while you browse and renews itself securely. It is removed when you sign out or delete your account.
• An unfinished sign-up (“walvia.alta.web.v1”, local storage). Only if you create your account on the website and need to confirm your email: it keeps your name and the texts you accepted until you sign in for the first time, and is then removed.
• Your cookie choice (“walvia.cookies.v1”, local storage). What you choose in the cookie banner, so we do not ask you again on every page.
• A random identifier for this browser (“walvia.dispositivo”, local storage). It lets us record your choice at WALBIA even without an account, so we can prove it; it does not say who you are. That record is deleted after 13 months.

Only if you accept preference cookies: your delivery country (“walvia.portes.pais”, local storage), so we can work out delivery costs straight away next time. You can change your choice at any time under “Cookie preferences”, at the bottom of every page.

What we do not use

• Advertising cookies or pixels.
• Analytics with identifiers: we do not measure who you are or what you look at.
• Social media buttons or trackers.
• Fonts or maps loaded from other websites: the website’s font is served from our own domain, and a garage’s map only opens on OpenStreetMap if you tap “Directions”.

Other websites you open yourself

Some actions take you to another website, with its own cookies and its own policy: the payment provider’s secure page when you pay by card, WhatsApp if you message a garage, or OpenStreetMap if you open a map. From then on, its rules apply.

How to delete or block it

You can delete this data by signing out or in your browser settings (under privacy or site data). If you block storage, you can still read the whole website, but you will not be able to sign in.

Changes and contact

If we ever add something that needs your consent (for example, measuring visits with identifiers), we will ask you before loading it, with a banner where refusing is as easy as accepting, and we will update this policy.
